As the earth rotated with certainty and surety and the sun began to set,
The people cautiously peeked out from the safety of their homes,
Or in the confines of their yards,
Or the security of their streets-
All conforming to appropriate social distancing guidelines, of course.
And they revered the rise of the full moon before them.
Beautiful and bountiful,
Pinky coral, an Italian cameo carved conch.
The people, they stopped.
They were still and observant,
Patient and awe-struck.
With the removal of the nagging superfluous distractions of life before
The people had time to return to roots and simplicity of wonder
Paying homage as they once did to the powerful ascent of the full moon and all of the changes it pulled with it.
Humiliated and frightened by nature’s swift fury
They stood humbled before the great full moon’s rising
Super Pink Moon
Hoping and praying for better days ahead
But not entirely wanting a return to the way things used to be
Beautiful and TRUE❤️

I am humbled by this beautiful moon, standing quietly, staring and wishing time would stand still for just a while. In awe of it’s greatness and just for a few moments the world is okay. Thank you for sharing. ❣️

I really enjoyed this. I was looking at the moon last night, in fact. I chuckled over the “social distance” line.

She’s beautiful – I wish there were some place I could see her. I think my neighbors might be unhappy if I cut down their trees to improve MY view!
